General Contracting

When planning a show, your choice of a general contractor (or GC) could be the most important decision you make. When you have the right GC working for you, then everyone is happy – event management, exhibitors, attendees, the press, and employees of the show venue. Of course, if you don’t have the right GC, the same people can become something less than happy – in a hurry.

When you work with Teamwork you are assured that you have a team of experienced, hard-working, and innovative professionals with the resources to get things done right, on budget, and on time. You are assured of keeping people happy.

A specific area of general contracting in which Teamwork is improving the overall show experience – as well as cost efficiencies – is in using networked computing and intelligence. From this Web site to mobile radios to hand-held personal digital assistants (PDAs) to helping develop a revolutionary lead retrieval system, Teamwork sets the pace for GCs using technology to deliver value and competitive advantage.

As needed, Teamwork takes care of every aspect of the show:

Transportation – Our in house logistics team can arrange for the most cost-effective shipment of your property, whether it’s going around the corner or around the world.

Drayage and Material Handling
–We work with either our preferred freight carrier or carrier of your choice to ensure the safe and timely delivery of your materials, equipment, and exhibit property. Teamwork also offers advanced freight warehousing. On request, we will store freight prior to an event. Upon your arrival to the event area, your freight will be waiting for you.

Complete Decorating Service – For the main exhibit and convention areas, as well as meeting and break-out rooms, Teamwork installs pipe and drape, hangs signs, lays aisle and booth carpeting, sets up tables and chairs, installs staging – in sum, whatever is needed.

Furniture and Carpeting – Apart from basic furniture, Teamwork offers a line of more upscale, distinctive furniture for rental. As well, for individual exhibits and booths, Teamwork offers carpet in a variety of different colors and grades. We even offer custom carpets (please see carpet order form.).

Exhibit Rental – Teamwork offers modular exhibit units for rental. We also can develop for you a more custom exhibit for rental.

Registration and Service Desks – Teamwork not only sets up and wires registration and service desks, but if needed we can staff and operate them as well.

Graphics – Signs and banners of any size, we can produce.

Installation and dismantle (I&D) – Our roots are as a successful I&D company. We never lost our skill or focus in this area. The fact is, we are as solid and accomplished in the I&D business as we are in the GC business.

From start to finish, no matter what is needed, Teamwork is a partner that delivers premium value show after show, event after event.

We enthusiastically encourage anyone to compare our labor and record of customer satisfaction against that of the competition. We believe strongly that Teamwork delivers the best value in the industry.

Teamwork is serious about I&D, and we challenge ourselves to achieve the same level of consistent high level quality as in other building trades. When you look at the resumes and work histories of our labor personnel and master foremen, you will find a record of success and licenses in carpentry, pipefitting, masonry, electrician work, heating/ventilation/air conditioning, roofing, you name it. We are accomplished and skilled.

Teamwork works with major multinationals as well as smaller companies you may not have heard of – yet. We handle the gamut of projects, from a 100’ x 120’ double decker to a 10’ x 10’ pop-up. And all projects receive the same Teamwork uncompromising commitment to quality and customer service.

Our I&D division is structured much like our general contracting division. We have a number of experienced, skilled, devoted personnel who work in cooperatively and in synch. Following are the key components or “positions” of our team:

Account Executive – your account executive directly fields and traffics your requests prior to, during, and following each event.

Account Manager – your account manager acts as your personal customer service representative.

National, Regional, or City Director
– depending on the scope of your project or account, this area director supports the master foreman from corporate headquarters, ensuring everything is delivered and accessible to provide optimum on-site service.

Master Foreman – our team of master foremen are the most skilled, accomplished, and customer service focused in the industry. On show the floor, Our Master Forman runs the project, is your point of contact, and attends to the finest details of your exhibit or show on a daily basis.

Additional value Teamwork provides is experience, relationships, and ability to work with various union organizations around the country. If you’ve been in the show industry for any amount of time, you understand the value of knowing the “who’s who” and "ins-and-outs" of the various national and local unions.
